TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is intended for HIV clinicians and caregivers, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and physicians' assistants.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
The presentation will focus on the epidemiology and risk factors of bone loss among individuals living with HIV. It will also focus on the effects of antiretroviral medications on bone health and potential interventions to treat and prevent osteoporosis among people living with HIV.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
1. Assess risk factors in HIV+ patients which contribute to osteoporosis risk
2. Identify HIV medications associated with increased osteoporosis risk  and develop alternative treatment plans
3. Describe evidence-based interventions to treat osteoporosis
