CAMTech INDIA

Launched in 2014, CAMTech INDIA is a public-private partnership supported by a broad range of clinical, industry and government organizations dedicated to improving health outcomes in India.

The program was originally created to address challenges in reproductive, maternal and child health (RMNCH), but has since expanded to include additional efforts, including a diabetes initiative and entrepreneur acceleration activities.

The CAMTech INDIA program engages key stakeholders in the country’s healthcare ecosystem to support, expand, and bring to scale affordable medical technologies and healthcare-system innovations in India.

RMNCH Initiative

The CAMTech INDIA Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (RMNCH) initiative began in June 2014 and aims to accelerate the development and adoption of new technologies to address preventable causes of death among women and children in India. The program is supported by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Bacca Foundation and Omdiyar Network. Click here to read more about CAMTech INDIA RMNCH events and initiatives.

Diabetes Initiative

In October of 2015, CAMTech INDIA launched a Diabetes Innovation Initiative in Hyderabad, India. Leveraging CAMTech INDIA’s public-private approach to health innovations (supported through non-USAID funding), the initiative brought together a diverse group of partners – from corporations to government agencies to specialty care providers.

CAMTech convened over 350 innovators and diabetes experts for a series of four events focused on spurring innovation across the diagnosis, management, and prevention of diabetes in India. Click here to read more about this event and the CAMTech INDIA Diabetes Innovation Initiative.
